How to connect Exact Online to Bistroo

Make sure you have an active Exact Online subscription (Start, Growth or Advanced).

Open Bistroo Merchant Portal → Integrations → Exact Online.

Click "Connect" and authorize Bistroo via your Exact Online login.

Link your general ledger accounts to the correct Bistroo revenue categories.

Set your export frequency and activate the synchronization.

Which Exact Online subscription do I need?

The connection works with all paid Exact Online subscriptions: Start, Growth and Advanced. Check that your subscription includes API access; this is included as standard.

Are VAT percentages passed on correctly?

Yes. Bistroo automatically splits revenue to the correct VAT rate (9% for food, 21% for other products). You can configure the rate per product category.

How often is data synchronized?

You can choose daily closing (every night), weekly or real-time with every order. Most restaurant owners choose daily export so the bookkeeping is always up to date.

What if there is an error in a booking?

From the Bistroo dashboard you can look up and correct individual transactions before they are exported. Once exported, bookings can be corrected in Exact Online.

Does the connection also work with Exact Boekhouden (the free version)?

The full connection requires Exact Online. Exact Boekhouden (the free variant) does not support API integrations. Contact Exact for upgrade options.
